For love of man and woman like
You'll toil in silent, endless strife
If only they say that they are friends
You'll suffer for them to your end

The bond of bonds it holds you in
'Til you are dying and weighing thin
And common eyes can see your bone
In your side like a burning thorn

You'll swim to bottom of ocean deep
And never will you find sound sleep
So love your mother, and your father
But beware to take it farther

'The difference between the right word and the nearly right word is like the diffence between lightninhg and a lightning bug' Mark Twain said 'Bonds' and 'The Bond' were only nearly right for titles
