Bliss of Ignorance

Clouds blanket the stars and moon
Bright green blades slice with night’s frost
Playground, lacking sound, left behind
by the shadows of children lost

Worries thrown to the wind

Innocent carefree conspicuous fun
Still present, the childish heart
A chill swirls through the air
Swingin’ back and forth; We start

Lost in the blur

Mindlessly flying through the air
Chains creaking with the constant motion
Golden curls given a mind of their own
The world freed of all commotion

Bliss of Ignorance

The author's comments:
After dark, I went to a park with my friends. We were swinging, whippinng through the air, and I couldn't help but remember when I was a little kid playing at this same park. It was freeing, remembering back to how simple it was, just playing at the park.
