Pieces of My Puzzle

June 6, 2010
Thousands of cardboard cut outs
There are similarities, but no two are alike
Every piece serves a purpose
Not one of them is worthless
As hard as you try to stand alone
You can't live on your own
To see the full picture
We must work together
Only certain ones fit
As if they were made for each other
So now I ask
Where is my perfect match?
That one piece that was designed,
To live its life beside mine?
Fill the void that stabs my side
And I continue this endless search
Hoping to find
My missing piece before I die
Help me?
Save me?
Love me?
Complete me?
and no matter what happens....
Never leave me?
I sigh and continue to struggle
To find that last piece of my puzzle

:)  I loved that you didn't ctick to your rhyme scheme.  Too many poets like, mutilate their words in order to rhyme them, which really messes up the rhythem and message of the peom.  GOOD JOB FOR NOT DOING THAT!!!!  It kept your poem full and true, and when you rhymed one last time at the end it really pulled the poem to a perfect close :) 5 Stars
