She Remembers...
She remembers being welcomed by a hug
She remembers playing fun games,
Solving puzzles and building sand castles
Always taking in the wonder of her
She is more than a babysitter she is part of my family,
My Aunt
She remembers taking in her personality
Her generosity and love
It filled her and everyone
She changed her
She was there for her during hard times
She remembers her making her smile, laugh, and even cry
She remembers sitting and watching her cook
The sweet smells and mouth watering tastes
She loved the sugar cookies,
The loud pop of popcorn
She remembers making the food for more than herself
But for the others she loved and needed help
She remembers gathering around in her room
Snuggling up in the green and blue tent
She remembers realizing when she left
How great of a person she is
She loved everyone
She loved life to the fullest
She made it her own
She wishes to be one day just like her.
