The little things,
remind her of him.

She can’t escape his presence,
even if he’s not around.

The argument,
four weeks back,
left the cold wind alone.

She walks these narrow halls,
with a look of sorrow and regret.
Nobody knows what happened.

They could’ve broken the silence,
but there was nothing left to say.
This is where they crashed.

He acts like there’s no care in the world,
but all he could think about,
was what happened four weeks ago.

A settled dispute,
is what they dream for.

A misunderstanding.

I was inspired to write this based on the idea that people fight with one another for ridiculous reasons. People jump to conclusions quite quickly and end up getting upset without letting the other person explain. I hope people can relate because I think everyone has gone through this.
