Episode of an Orientation Ball
Her name’s Drew,
She’s dressed in blue,
Off she headed for the venue-
With a majestic hairdo,
To meet Siew, who was in a tutu.
*********************
Restlessly she watched the revue,
With her feelings subdued,
Her mind deep in conflict over the menu,
A dinner of stew or tofu ?
*******************
Among the crowd - she saw Andrew,
Whom she danced with feelings renewed,
And felt that it was too good to be true!
************************
It’s past her curfew,
Off she flew—
Leaving her shoe,
With a wave, she said, ‘Adieu!’
