This boy in this bed...
his walls closing in on him
He doesnt know he can not see
He isnt even able to speak
This boy in this bed....
use to be the only thing to me
but now he is just a lifeless body
I held his hand and felt his heart
The beat slowing and the machines
They were the hardest part
Not watching him die in my arms
The machines beep....then stopped
That was the hardest part
This boy in this bed....
Dies because some ignorant man
A drunken fool....with keys
He only wanted to see me...
Here i am holding his hand
Lifeless....no breath to be taken
I wish i could have said....
I loved you too

"I met this guy when i was in 8th grade.....today he would be 18....he made a difference just by walking in a room....and when he died...the light died with him"

This is soo amazing and heartfelt! Great job, though I am sorry for your loss & his family's as well. He is in a better place now, where there is no suffering at all.
