The dew covered grass tickles our skin.
The gentile evening breeze brushes against our cheeks.
We sit in the crowd all waiting for the same thing…
A loud crash erupted in the distance-
and the sky glows fluorescent blue.
Ohs and Ahs swell around us,
as the next loud boom fills the sky with blood red.
The crashes in the night set the sky into a fiery blaze
of raging colors against a black canvas.
I look over and see the reflection of the flaming colors
in my sisters wide eyes and knew she was having a great time.
We sit next to each other for hours-watching…

My piece is about watching the fireworks with my family in forth of July,, my favorite holiday!
