How stunning it was
When the moonlight
Glowed on the lake
And as we watched
The silver waters dance

How stunning it was
When the water
Lapped at our feet
And as we swayed
To their lullaby rhythm

How stunning it was
When the sunlight
Kissed our cheeks
And as we felt
The rays warm embrace

How stunning it was
When the grass
Tickled our feet
And we walked
Over its dewy carpet

How stunning it was
When the breeze
Tousled our hair
And as we listened
To its sad whispers

How stunning it was
When the trees
Swayed above us
And as we climbed
Their outstretched arms

How stunning it was
When the land
Stood still thru our window
And as we saw
The world as a bird

How stunning it was
When he
Touched my cheek
And as I was still
And he kissed me

How stunning the world was
How stunning it was
How stunning it
Is.

I think that the beauty of life inspired me to write this poem. This wasn't a memory but maybe a new way to look out at the world. At least, that's what I thought. Enjoy!
