You sit behind me in class
I hear your voice as you talk to your friend
My thoughts drift away from your conversation
I suddenly find myself in a daze
Your voice calling mine stimulates me and rapidly awakens me
You ask me for a pencil
I quickly look in my bag and reach over handing it to you
Our hands briefly touch
It sends shivers down to my core but you don’t even notice
You turn your attention back to your friend
I feel as if daggers were just plunged into my heart
I quietly listen to your voice as you talk about nonsense
I hang on your every word as if the world would end if I didn’t
The bell suddenly rings disorienting my thoughts
You swiftly get up in a hast and hand me back my pencil
You thank me and smile as if I had loaned you a yacht
Your friend motions you to hurry up
You gradually turn your gaze away from me as you leave
I sink back into my sit wishing you’re weren’t gay and your friend wasn’t really your lover

Love it. Love the ending especially...it begins slightly cheesy but the twist at the end changes all of it.
