Overwhelmed by the compulsion to push it away.
Yet, I cannot be defeated
No, not this time.
But it was more than
The avoidance of consumption;
I was proving I was stronger-
Better than they thought
And I was oh so good at it!
But what do you do when
This rush, this empowerment,
Is leaving you to spiral out of control,
Is crushing you like the foot of an elephant,
In every waking moment?
