Television is a lightshow
Captivating and alluring
Sad when a show ends
Excited when a new one begins
And anticipation for the next display
Of comic puerility, and real life drama plays
Television is an addiction
One very hard to break.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after acknowledging how addicting to the television my family became after will got a new flatscreen. My family like druggies for to TV.
