Sixteen years of fear and
Sitting on the pavement
Worn down, beaten, and bruised.
Staring at the crowded,
Friendless streets of people's
Cold and lying faces.
Trying to tell the world
That the bruises they saw
Covered on the out went
Far deeper than the skin.
