It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing

Suicide

Death
Cold
Dark
Imposing
The dramatic closing of the curtains of someone’s story.
That’s what death is.
Life
Warm
Light
Welcoming
A roller coaster twists and turns and burns through new experiences.
That’s what life is
Death can be
Expected
Wanted
Rejected
Flaunted in the hands of a killer
But never should it be in the hands of a person after his own end.
No man, woman, or child should take their own life
Be it out of love, hate, pain, or strife.
No man, woman, or child should seek out their own end
When you rush your end you’ll never see what can begin.
Beginnings have endings
But the end of life and the beginning of death should never come
Prematurely.

The story behind this poem is a sad one. a week before this poem one of my friends had tried to commit suicide after constant bullying and problems at home. I hope this poem will help others become aware of how much of a world problem suicide is.
