It was the excitement
It was the time
It was the moment
It was the fine
It was the bottles
It was the shame
It was the parents
It was the flame
But me, I'm not to blame.
It was my friends
It was the need
It was the words
It was their deeds
It was the car
It was the name
It was the street
I couldn’t be lame
