Lost in a Dream

When you are lost in a dream your heart tells the truth
About what you feel and know and think.
Sometimes it leads to despair
Or a slow realization,
But remember what you feel is real

Orphan Child

Oh orphan child, why don’t you cry?
You were abandoned as a baby
Left alone as a child
On your own becoming a person
Shown no mercy as an adult
Your life has been full of pain and sorrow
Yet you move on ready to help, save, and forgive
Being the encouragement to others no one ever was to you
Oh orphan child, you help when they cry.

Blade of Grass

Growing
Changing
Strong
Comforting
Beauty
Grace
Gentleness
Unknown until seen
in a simple blade of grass
a beautiful creation

Children

How can a child be so reckless

but also pleasing?
Ruthless?

Positive
Repetitive?

Persistent
Rejecting?

Practical

Patient
Regardless of all?

They are able to hurt

and love
Give

and take

Children just can…

Free

Feet dancing

Fancy free

Forever living
One step closer to the end

A new beginning
Reaching out as far as can be

for that new thing
Finally,

your goal is reached
