EXPECTATION
1.
Newly fallen snow
Lays freshly on the grass
Newly fallen snow
Covers up the summer past

Winter is near
Summer is far
So are the bright night stars

Fallen snow winter nears
Darkness is abundant
At this time of year

Enjoy watching by the window pane
The newly fallen snow
Far, not too soon, will begin the thaw and flowers grow

TUNNEL VISION
2.
Dark eyes, sweet eyes
True eyes of blue

See the soul of me
So deep beyond, who knew?

MOM
3.
Basketball season, hockey season too
Kids carted back and forth
Teasing each other too

Mom is tired and exhausted too
Mom is their best fan
And confidant too

Times are flying by
Times are precious
Even when most of the time
Is spent driving back and forth
When we are all stressed out

I wouldn’t trade these times,
These days for anything
I love these times, these days
For I know they will end too soon.
