the wind cut sharply at me
stinging where the tears were

ripped them from the trees
they calmed and fell to the

down on me
from the gray sky
at the same speed that
the cold tears streemed
from my eyes
then my tear ducts ran dry

and i decided that i
would be able to piece my
heart back together
the shower passed and i
stood to go home i looked
at the crimson leaves where
my head lay

they formed a heart
and i knew that eventually
the leaves would grow back
on the tree and be green again
eventually i will love again
until then i will enjoy the
september fall....
