He stepped out of the shadows,
Secrets bared and told,
I left him in the light,
Not caring if he was cold.

He lied and didn't care,
Left me just in tears,
Called my girls and told them all you said,
How you broke my heart and wished you were dead.

Maybe it was me,
Who finally ended us,
But I am glad it's over,
Who ever broke it up.

I am glad it's done,
Never have to see your face,
I hope you get hurt soon,
Good-bye and never again.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece when I started a new school and had to leave behind all of my friends. Transitioning has been hard, but really helped me mature.

This was a really good poem!  I can understand how leaving your friends behind would be hard.  Keep writing! :)
