Close your eyes and see,
Cover your ears and listen.
I'll bare my bones to the world.
For I doubt I'm who you think.
My armor is made of plastic
Looks strong, but is flimsy.
Want to know a secret?
I am terrified.
Laugh with me,
Cry with me,
Love with me,
Smile with me.
Whatever you do, don't judge me.
Close your eyes and see,
Cover your ears and listen.
Don't judge a book by its cover.
I laugh to keep from crying,
And joke when I feel like dying.
But you know I'm always smiling.
'Cause that's just who I am.
I try my best to be nice,
But I know I am cold-hearted.
Hear the world through my ears,
See the world through my eyes.
Laugh with me,
Cry with me,
Love with me,
Smile with me.
Don't care what you think, 'cause either way
I am me.
Close your eyes and see,
Cover your ears and listen.
See through my eternal mask,
Catch glimpses of the real me-
Quiet,
Vulnerable,
Sensitive.
Close your eyes and see,
Cover your ears and listen.
I'll bare my bones to the world
For I doubt I'm who you think.
