Grasping the smooth handle
Slowly and feebly prying the drawer open
Old silver utensils carefully placed
In their proper sections

A weathered hand clutches
An intricately crafted handle
Gleaming in the crystal light
Loosing breath as she lifts it up

Cracks running across boney knuckles
Expand as tired tendons clutch the knife.
