The Single Drop

A drop of color,
however small,
leaves its mark
like a spot on the wall.

It quickly spreads
to change others’ ways.
It tells the world
it’s there to stay.

But that tiny drop
could show signs of evil
as it brings sudden change
and possible upheaval.

The maverick nature
of an iota of a being
loses its symmetry;
the whole world seeing.

This is a photo-based poem. The picture is a drop of food coloring in a glass of water.
