I want to be remembered as the girl who could always brighten your day.. Even when she couldn't brighten her own.

Pristine drops
Of Water
Glittering like diamonds
Smiling
Laughing
In my face

Laughter
Echoing
Throughout the cavern
Words
Cutting through
the wall I've built

I can see
Their owners
Climbing
Clambering to get to me
Wanting to laugh at me
No longer with me

I scream and yell
The same things back at them
If I say it back
It won't hurt me
Only them

It doesn't work
The jeers
The pointing
Laughter in
Slow Motion

I need to
Rebuild
The walls
I don't want anyone
To be able to get to me
Not anymore.
Not now
Not ever
No doors
No windows
No way in

Pristine drops
Of water
Glittering like diamonds
Smiling
Laughing
In my face

This is about someone who puts up a wall to keep people out so that she doesn't get hurt.
