Lost memories suddenly caught in time
Are just figments of a better time
Laughter caresses the face of everyone
But yet I can not remember the sound of it
The way you smiled brought warmth to this cold room
And yet that warmth has somehow faded
You said that I would always remember you
But somehow your face is hard to recall
I guess I'm guilty for moving on without you
But I will always bring fresh flowers to your grave
And reminise on our long lost memories

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this piece because I was thinking about the loss of a family member that happened awhile ago and how so much time has passed I feel that I have forgotten all of the memories about this person. So I wrote it all down in poetic form and this is what I came up with so far.
