Tulips, Pansies, sway in the breeze.
Beauty in its simplest form.
Nature’s celebration of a new life.
Unconscious of the coming freeze.
Finches sing sweetly on flowered boughs.
Beauty in its simplest form.
Fortelling the spring ‘fore it arrives.
Not knowing that which would turn them to crows.
But soon it will come.
And with it a simple
Realization:
Mother Nature’s work is done.
This abandoning comes with stunning force.
In the form of a cone-shaped savior.
Annihilation, the prarie replaced with black desert.
Taking pleasure from that life which it ends.
This starkness is a
New kind of beauty.
This is merely the
Beauty of mankind.
