The Small Things

Soothing lavender scent,

Soft sound of wind chimes,
Filling the room,

Scent of sage in air,

An autumn tree,
Laced with color

A pen in my hand,

Husky scent of smoke ,
Mingled with ocean air,

Crisp taste of apples,

Sweet sound of birdsong
Blended with childish laughter,

Taste of jasmine upon my tongue,

Spring sunsets,
A sea-wash of color,

Melodies of native flutes reach my ears,

A horse prances next door,
Barely glimpsed through the window,

Like a dream vaguely remembered

I love this poem and the topic you chose to write about. I think your poem would make a beautiful painting because it is very descriptive and colorful!!
