White Wedding
The Whites of Eyes
peeking around,
wide with curiosity
proud of her title
“flower girl”.
spying
on the princess,
in her long White Dress.
White Lace,
draped over her bodice,
and then lightly fell to her feet.
a veil disguised her nervous face.
about to start a new life,
like a Blank
sheet of Paper.
with the world in front of her.
she peered
out the window,
at the White
sandy Shore.
oblivious
to people around her,
sewing White Thread
to fallen White Beads.
across the hall,
the ring bearer untied White Laces
to put on the dreaded dress shoes.
the groom nervously
tossed a Baseball;
his favorite pastime.
the White Church Doors
opened to a room
filled with soft White Rose Petals.
the bridesmaids walked with pride:
fresh make-up, French Manicures, and White Smiles.
a young boy
carried White gold Rings
atop a fluffy,
White Pillow.
then the crowd stood:
Tissues in hand.
and the groom saw his bride,
covered in the most beautiful,
White Gown.
tears came to his eyes,
leaving gentle White Streaks
on his face.
gracefully,
she came down the aisle,
like walking on Clouds.
a kiss started
new life.
in a
brand
new
White
House.
