I remember
I remember beautiful nights
When I would swing
At the park with my best friend
And watch the sun go down
Laying down in the grass
On top of wool blankets,
Our heads resting on pillows
We would tilt our heads all the way back
And watch the stars above us
The creatures and ants
Under our bodies biting
Us and leaving painful marks
Itching intensely
Hoping for them to disappear
Watching the little leagues
Play baseball and children
Throw frisbees with their family
As soon as the mosquitos swarm us
We pick up our belongings
And leave the park
