The shot rings across the field
No one listens; they will not yield
The fighting continues just another life lost
But to his family it’s a very high cost

No father to tuck them in at night
Because he was lost in this bloody fight
They dream of him and wish he was here
But the enemies don’t shed a single tear

Remembered in ceremony his family cries
For his country this man dies
Why do we do this silly thing we call war?
It just causes pain and death upon us once more.
