I can see the ocean in front of me:
The never ending body of water
That makes the world seem flat.
The endless waves that roll up against the shore
With its white foam on top of the dark blue water.
The ships that move, far off in the distance
Along with the many creatures living under the sea.
I can see the ocean in front of me.

I can taste the ocean in front of me:
The salty water that stings my tongue
And gives an unpleasant taste in my mouth.
The icy water that engulfs my body
And makes me thirsty for more.
The wet liquid that touches my lips
And makes me feel a part of the sea.
I can taste the ocean in front of me.

I can feel the ocean in front of me:
The white waves that unfold under my legs
And make me cold with its chilly water.
The beautiful shells that I am able to find
After the water disappears into the distance.
The sand that keeps my feet planted
While the water tries to pull me into the sea.
I can feel the ocean in front of me.

I can smell the ocean in front of me:
The salt that penetrates my nostrils
And can be smelt from miles away.
The fish that live underneath the waves
With the other creatures, coral, and seaweed.
The golden grains of sand
That meet the beginning of the sea.
I can smell the ocean in front of me.

I can hear the ocean in front of me:
The rolling waves that crash against the beach
And then gently pull away.
The sound of kids jumping into the water
Trying to avoid the incoming waves.
The sound of the seagulls squawking in the sky
That remind you that you're near the sea.
I can hear the ocean in front of me.
