Remember
When recollecting stories from the past,
Of our very first moments together,
Your heart was filled with love that would last,
A father and daughter bond that would last forever.
You taught me the basics like ridding a bike,
Then continued teaching through spirit alone.
Your presence is absent, which I don’t like.
Even with everyone around, I feel I am still on my own.
I know that you have sent angles to watch over me,
These angles come in forms of my family and friends.
I was unsure of what you said to me, but now I see,
This feeling I have, I will love forever and pray it never ends.
The memories I have, I will cherish for life.
But because you’re gone, I will remain in strife.
In Memory of Gerald Douglas O’Neil
