It Died

emotion comes out of me
sometimes i have to try hard to stop it
you said you used to love this part of me
but now i know that something has died
something is different
you're still here, but you've gone
don't lie to me, i know you
i know the light in your eyes has died
the way you looked at me was beautiful
i felt beautiful when you looked at me
now you barely ever look at me
it seems the passion we shared has died
i want to light the candles
i want to turn on the lights
i want you to come back to me
where have you gone?
why did we let it
die?
