The Heavens Cry

A single Rain drop lands on my cheek,
and runs steadily down the skin of my face,
like a tear,
the rain drop finds a companion in the pull of gravity.

Soon many follow suit,
as the earth rejoices in a much needed drink of water.

The crack of the lightning's brilliance fills the sky,
and the boom of thunder rumbles deep in my bones.

The pleasant smell of wet pavement,
and drenched earth,
circles through the air.

And the heavens cry out to the earth,
and dangerous,
and alive,
are we,
the dreamers of the world.

It's like your describing Mother Nature at her best. Nice work. :)

I think this is WONDERFUL in the way that it tells of this connection between people and the rain. That said, I think there was one line that really just stood out as cliche: "Runs down the skin of my face/ like a tear" could def get more creative with that.

(It's be great if you could chekcout some of my work if you get the chance )

Great job, keep writing :)
