Uncontrollable
I sat quietly,
nervously.
For a moment,
I sat.
Sat quietly,
nervously.
Then I began,
began to tap,
tap my foot.
A nervous habit
kicking in.
And a whisper
filled my ears.
Then I held my breath,
I began to smile.
I had to hold back
my laugh.
I felt whole,
and uncontrollably
joyful.
I felt as if
I was walking on cloud nine.
Bright emotions washed over me,
took over me,
ruled me.
First-class spirits
surrounded me.
They howled in laughter,
following my lead.
I was free,
fearless,
and free of captivity.
