the truth behind
I’ve lost my soul, my heart, and my mind
With my body left being devoured by time
And I may fall into stereotype
Wearing a mask, shielding tears
But I can say for all your young ears
That my perspective of life is not quite right
Because I’m forced to see what this cruel world really holds
And the mold between earth and hell is not as it’s told
Oh, we’ve forgotten that only thin ice lay beneath our feet
And yes, the wages of sin is death
But this could be what we really seek
We haven’t searched into its true depths
So we’ll never know what is truly portrayed
As death
