Children

The parents collaborate with the school
to make their expectations so possible no matter
how much the child wants to be something else
Money becomes the only important thing to adults
the children's passion gets thrown away
Parents get angry when child acts different
and explores bigger and better things than money
They become looked at as the outcast of society
Why do we continue to live
Money tells whether you're
successful or not
Personality no longer becomes something of importance
Children get brought up with
kids they won't see later on in life
They give us freedom as we grow
but only to take away
happiness
I remember my mom saying, "There great kids"
Now I hear
What happened to my
Children

I was inspired to write this piece when I was in Math class while I was in a sort of depression and my family and I got in fights a lot at the time
