The diminishing tide
The sun sets, a sky of flames.
A glowing orb relinquishes its sky
Shades of orange, purple, and pink
Are painted on the sky,
As if it was a water-color painting.
The cold, moist sand
Crunches beneath my bare feet.
Forgotten sand castles with moats
Are scattered along the shore
Looking up
The sun is only a sliver
Sinking into the horizon
Gone.
