like angels and demons

strained from such heavy labour,
my veins pump acid and fire
into a heart that denies
its own existence.
the pressure left by pained
and very unorthodox kinds
of needles, the soulful
and reluctant kind,
does take its toll against
the eyes that window
the soul.
and so, with a heavy shell,
the liberty-ridden angel
does take its few last steps
upon this stage;
and the demon that tempted
the angel's in a rage.
