Dear lonely heart,
Will you kindly stop aching?
You are continually affecting my day
When you constantly are breaking.
Dear troubled heart,
Will you please learn to smile?
Because I've noticed you've been frowning
And sad for quite awhile.
Dear gloomy heart,
Please embrace the sun.
It is time that you began to shine
And learned to have some fun.
Dear weakened heart,
I promise you it's true.
Your strength and endurance
Will help you make it through.
Dear hopeless heart,
Please believe me when I say.
For you the future is bright,
This pain will go away.
