Senses of the Beach

By
The way the sand feels in the crevices of my toes.
The sound of the waves ringing in my ears.
The way the sun feels beaming on my skin.
The sound of the birds all around me.

The smell of the restaurants flowing through my nose.
The taste of delicious seafood like heaven in my mouth.
The smell of the ocean water filling the air.
The taste of coffee as I watch the sunrise in the early morning.

The sight of dolphins jumping high in the air.
The sight of children building sand castles in the sand.
The sight of the waves crashing on the shore.
The sight of a volleyball bouncing from side to side.

This is where I find my peace inside.
This is where myself is discovered.
This is what I call home.
This is the beach.
