Dear Brothers and Sister of The World,

I have not been through what you have been through,
this we know.
My race hasn’t suffered
nearly as much as yours.
I do apologize,
for all the problems and pain
that my ancestors brought.

Do realize that it wasn’t me personally.
I cannot change the past.
For I live for the present.
How are we supposed to bring peace
to this problem if you won’t forgive?

Refer to me as an individual please.
not a kind.
I can only treat you as you currently treat me.
both of our efforts are needed
to change this battle
Primarily against nothing.

Sincerely,
A White Sister In The World
