Beyond the Headphones

Once the headphones,
the trap is set.
Music grabs you,
lures you in.
Brings you up to its chest.
It takes you away,
From car rides, plains, and trains.
Brings your feet to the dance floor,
brings peace to you in your room.
There is no way to fight music.
You fall in love with it.
It speaks to your emotions.
You are its loving victim.
Every song,
carries you through its notes.
The lyrics wrap around you,
Drag you into an abyss.
Then the song ends,
for a few seconds reality comes back.
But then,
The next song begins
and it starts all over again.
