Two dogs MAG
Outside my window are two dogs.
One was blue, the other as black as night.
Blue was old, black was new.
Old was smart, as smart as can be.
He could herd, with just one word.
But, alas, one cold winter, he was found dead.
New was not that smart, but he could run.
He saved my life and gave life to eight.
But was taken by the unknown man.
Both of them were close 'til they were gone.
They kept my window warm on cold
winter nights.
And were beautifully silhouetted in the setting sun.
