A broken key,
can only open,
broken things.
It lies shattered and alone.
Hurt but has never shown,
its fear for life,
as a brand new key.
See the way they move with ease,
and the way it moves with pain.
A broken key,
can only open
broken things.
So please broken key,
Open me.

The author's comments:
At this point in my life I felt as if I was broken into pieces by a loss I endured. Then I found my recent boyfriend, who was going through similar struggles as I was, and he felt the same way. Therefore I found out that two broken people can heal each other, and he is my broken key that has opened me.
