In the corner the lonely heart sits
In the hollow stillness it begins to reminisces
Of the glory filled days it used to have
Now empty and swollen it only feels sad
It used to be loved, happy, and free
Now those days are over though it’s hard to see
The days will get better as only time heals
But the melancholy heart can’t help but to feel
The days move by slowly and ache for its loss
The little heart knows it’s the price and the cost
If the hands on the clock could only turn back
Would the heart be loved more? Or would it still lack?
Now it’s more obvious and plain to see
That little lonely heart, it is me
