A Lifetime (3 Waka)
Ugly bullets pierce
My pale vesture with sorrow.
To err is human, perhaps,
But life is lost forever.
Peace envelops me.
Life is distant motion here.
Placid lakes absorb
Blood and hatred as my soul
Departs with gentle breathing.
There are no planes here.
A sky uninterrupted,
And at last I sleep.
Destiny resolves all roads,
Travelers already home.
