Scars In My Heart
What did I do to deserve this pain?
It takes all my effort to just stay sane
The marks you leave scar more then my skin
No one should go through what I’ve been
The pain you cause is too much to ignore
The belt you used still dangles on the door
My arms are stained with black and blue
And I still don’t know what I ever did to you
But I can’t tell anyone what you’ve done
I know my battles have just begun
I don’t know why I can’t leave you
But still no one can know what I’ve been through
And the scars you’ve left will never heal
The hurt you’ve caused is hurt I’ll always feel
I think of what you’ve done everyday
And nothing will ever take that away
