Dow syndrome
My sister’s got it
She ain’t no fool
She is the same
As me and you
She goes to work
And goes to school
Like I said, she is no fool
Part of class 2010
Her education not near end
Her learning will continue on
In hopes of discovering every corner and bend
She reads and writes
Does math too
Like I said, same as me and you
She goes to movies
And shops at a store
She buys, but gives more and more
You say, how can this be?
She has a disability.
It takes her more time and concentration
Maybe a different way than we
But in the end
She is the same as you and me
