I am me
I am funny and quirky
I wonder what the future holds
I hear the ringing of bells
I see flower blooms blowing in the wind
I want to be with him

I am alone and shy
I pretend to be happy
I feel people trying to control me
I touch the walls closing in
I worry if I will ever get over my emotional block
I cry inside, not out

I am older now
I understand the things that you don't
I say it in my mind, never to be let out
I dream of going away
I try to paint the face you want
I hope to be free some day
I am me

The author's comments:
when i wrote this poem i was just letting the emotions i was feeling go where ever they wanted to. i know that this poem jumps around a lot but so do my emotions. lol
