I have waited for forever.
The day is finally here.
I have reached the time.
That most exciting year.

Freedom was waiting right outside.
I opened the garage door, and to my surprise
Shining like a bright blue star
Sat the most beautiful car.

I pulled the handle and jumped inside.
“Clunk” went the door and I was ready to drive.
The engine was a lion while it roared into the air,
And I couldn’t believe I was actually there.

Foot on the peddle, pumping with pride,
I was ready to go in my brand new ride.
I drove off into the setting sun,
And my taste of freedom had finally begun.
